  • With over 25 years of experience in real estate and construction, Edward Doherty leads KEMS with a focus on quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. As a hands-on developer and site manager, he is deeply involved in every phase of a project—from site selection and budgeting to construction oversight and client relations.

    Edward is known for his meticulous attention to detail and strong partnerships with architects, engineers, and legal teams. His leadership has delivered high-quality residential and mixed-use properties across Greater Boston. He also prioritizes community engagement and safety across all projects.

    Certifications: OSHA Certified, Licensed Builder
    Focus: High standards, on-time delivery, and a dedication to standing behind the work.

  • Kurt brings more than 30 years of construction experience to his role as Senior Superintendent at KEMS. His background includes managing a $27 million prison power plant and overseeing numerous laboratory build-outs ranging from $7–10 million. He has also served as Operations Manager at a mechanical firm, supervising both project managers and field staff.

    At KEMS, Kurt is responsible for leading the 25 Isabella Street high-rise project, where he oversees daily operations, site logistics, and field coordination to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

  • JJ brings a strong foundation in ground-up construction and multi-family developments. Before joining KEMS in 2023, he served as Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager at Waypoint General Contracting, where he contributed to the successful completion of several large residential projects including:

    • 90 Ocean Ave, Revere (75 units)

    • 11 Walley St, East Boston (36 units)

    • 21–35 West 2nd St, South Boston (55 units)

    • 301 Border St, East Boston (68 units)

    At KEMS, JJ currently manages the construction of 25 Isabella Street, an 18-unit luxury condominium project in Boston. His expertise includes permitting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, documentation, and site inspections.

  • With over 20 years of construction experience, Jennifer has managed a wide range of projects—from high-end custom homes and large-scale multifamily developments to cutting-edge laboratory facilities for the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Her expertise spans pre-construction, permitting, execution, compliance, and project closeout.

    Jennifer is particularly skilled at maintaining schedules and budgets while ensuring adherence to regulatory and environmental standards. Her knowledge of sustainable building practices has made her a key contributor to projects seeking LEED certification.
